Position Summary:
The Food and Beverage Server create connections, make thoughtful recommendations, prepare quality beverages, and keep service flowing smoothly. During our restaurant's transformation, this position will initially support breakfast and brunch service. As we move toward our full relaunch, the role may expand into bar service, dinner, banquets, private events, and special experiences. We are looking for people who are excited to learn a new menu, grow their knowledge of tequila and craft beverages, and help introduce guests to the next version of Old Town Tequila Factory.
What You'll Do
- Welcome guests and provide warm, attentive, and professional service.
- Accurately take and enter food and beverage orders.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages according to recipes and Company standards.
- Learn our evolving food menu, cocktails, beer, wine, tequila, spirits, specials, and promotions.
- Make thoughtful recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Follow Responsible Beverage Service requirements and applicable alcohol-service regulations.
- Verify identification and serve alcohol responsibly.
- Process payments and follow cash-handling and point-of-sale procedures.
- Complete opening, closing, stocking, cleaning, and side-work responsibilities.
- Maintain organized restaurant, bar, coffee, beverage, and service stations.
- Assist with breakfast, brunch, banquets, catering, private events, and restaurant service as scheduled.
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen and other team members.
- Help us test, refine, and successfully introduce a reimagined guest experience.

What You'll Bring
- Must be at least 21 years old due to alcohol-service responsibilities.
- Previous restaurant serving or bartending experience is strongly preferred.
- Current California Responsible Beverage Service certification, or ability to obtain it before independently serving alcohol.
- Food-handler certification, or ability to obtain one within the required timeframe.
- Ability to accurately handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, carry trays, and lift items required for service.
- Availability for mornings, weekends, holidays, events, and potentially expanded hours following the restaurant relaunch.
