As a Room Attendant, your primary responsibility is to impress each guest with a clean and welcoming guestroom presentation. Attention to detail and cleanliness is key to making this happen. As a Relief Housekeeping Inspector, you will oversee the housekeeping department. You will lead/assist and ensure the day-to-day housekeeping operations run smoothly and each room attendant produces a clean, welcoming, and comfortable environment for our guests.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Relief Inspector Responsibilities:
Cleaning and maintenance tasks
Conduct sanitation inspections of assigned areas to ensure these areas meet/exceed Brand standards.
Ensures the required number of rooms are cleaned on each shift by assigned employees.
Inspects employee's work to ensure quality standards are met.
Investigate complaints or problems and take appropriate action to correct sanitation and housekeeping issues.
Responsible for equipment upkeep
Room Attendant/Housekeeper Responsibilities:
Cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, hallways, furnishings, flooring and working/public areas at all times.
Report maintenance problems
Working quickly without compromising quality/diligence.
Keeping room facilities and common areas clean and maintained.
Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
Cleaning and stocking restrooms.
Cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment.
Notifying managers of necessary repairs/issues.
Collecting and disposing of trash.
Assisting guests when necessary.
Restocking all necessary room toiletries.
Time management and efficiency in tasks.
Deliver items to guest rooms, as requested.
Help other departments, as needed.
Responsible care of equipment and machines.
Support team to reach common goals.
Skills:
Detail-oriented and thorough.
Prioritization and time management skills.
Previous guest service and/or housekeeping experience.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, according to the hotel demands
Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards.
Physical mobility and stamina.
Ability to cross-train for another position if needed.
Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests.
Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards
