We're looking for a motivated and results-driven Sales Manager to join our team at the Hilton Garden Inn Sacramento Airport Natomas-just 10 minutes from SMF with easy access to downtown Sacramento, Golden 1 Center, and the State Capitol.
Position Overview:
In this role, you'll drive group, corporate, and catering sales through proactive outreach, relationship building, and strategic planning. You'll be the face of the hotel in the local community, manage events from inquiry to execution, and collaborate with on-site teams to ensure a seamless guest experience.Oversight of local corporate transient, group sales and group catering.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands hotel sales inside and out, and wants to be part of a collaborative and performance-focused team. You'll represent the Hilton brand with pride while selling everything from business group blocks to special events and catering packages.
What You'll Do:
Lead and close group business, corporate travel, and catering contracts that drive top-line revenue.
Prospect and develop new accounts while maintaining and growing relationships with existing clients.
Collaborate cross-functionally with front desk, banquet, and kitchen teams to deliver seamless group experiences.
Represent our hotel in the community and with strategic partners (Convention & Visitors Bureau, Chamber of Commerce, etc.)
Manage in-house groups from initial inquiry through execution, ensuring every detail is right.
Handle sales admin like proposals, contracts, BEOs, group resumes, billing, and CRM updates with precision and timeliness.
Participate in marketing strategy and create creative campaigns that position our hotel as the venue of choice.
Support management as a Manager on Duty during key business hours, including weekends and holidays.
What We're Looking For:
2+ years of hotel sales experience preferred (Hilton or branded experience is a plus)
College degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered
Passion for hospitality, sales strategy, and relationship building
Excellent communication skills and the ability to close the deal
Knowledge of Sacramento market or similar destination markets is a big plus
Experience with STS, Delphi, and/or other CRM systems
Team player attitude with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Flexible availability to support business demands (evenings, weekends, events)
