Job Summary The Front Desk Supervisor/Sales Coordinator is a hybrid position ideal for someone with front desk experience and a passion for hospitality sales. This role requires a welcoming, professional demeanor, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. You will supervise front desk operations and provide leadership to the front office team, while also supporting the Sales & Marketing department with group bookings and client communication. This dual-role position offers an exciting opportunity to grow in both operations and sales, ensuring seamless guest experiences and strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk Supervisor Duties:
Supervise, train, and motivate front desk associates.
Lead by example in delivering exceptional guest service and problem-solving.
Oversee daily front desk operations, including check-in/check-out, reservations, and guest inquiries.
Address guest concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
Collaborate with hotel departments to ensure coordinated service delivery.
Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
Provide front desk shift coverage and review daily arrivals/departures for potential sales leads.
Maintain and organize front desk documentation and credit card authorization logs.
Sales Coordinator Duties:
Support Sales & Marketing by handling administrative tasks and client correspondence.
Serve as the point of contact for group and business inquiries.
Assist with the preparation of proposals, contracts, banquet event orders (BEOs), and sales-related documents utilizing our STS Cloud sales system.
Updating information in STS Cloud sales system on a regular basis
Maintain the group binder and ensure up-to-date information.
Promote brand awareness internally and externally.
Utilize sales techniques to maximize revenue while building guest loyalty.
Input and track commissions, leads, and third-party information in relevant systems.
Answer guest questions regarding hotel services, amenities, and promotions.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Marriott front office role required.
- Proficiency with FOSSE, MGS, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with guests, team members, and leadership.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Front desk experience required; hotel sales experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing business needs.
- Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
