Job Summary:
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responding to a wide array of engineering needs and interacting directly with guests. Your responsibilities will also include, but are not limited to, performing preventive maintenance, responding to guest repair requests, and maintaining inventory. To ensure we are providing the best services to our guests, as an Maintenance Engineer, your duties will entail troubleshooting various maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner.
Hotel Maintenance Responsibilities:
Some of your responsibilities would include, but not limited to:
Identifing problems and initiating work orders, accomplishing assigned work orders, and doing all necessary repairs relating to your expertise.
Creating a safe environment for guests and employees by ensuring that the hotel is maintained in accordance with all safety standards.
Perform preventative maintenance and maintain logs in an organized manner.
Complete the duty rounds checklists and correct any noted problems.
Perform cleaning activities, when necessary from repairs, such as dusting, mopping, etc.
Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls, etc.
Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
Install appliances and equipment
Do garden/yard upkeep where necessary, keeping trash area maintained, etc.
Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs
Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation)
Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)
Maintains a clean and orderly work area free of hazards
Collaborate and maintain relationships with outside vendors and other professionals so you can easily reach out to and utlize them in areas that require additional support.
Report to facilities/GM for any necessary issues
Skills
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
- Experience using hand and electrical tools
- Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical stamina and dexterity
- High school diploma or equivalent
