Job Summary: Over and above Customer Service, follow though with Guest needs, performs reservation functions, cash handling and other related services, flexible schedules.

Duties:

  1. Greet, Smile and provide welcoming environment for all guests
  2. Listen to and be aware of guest preferences and needs- Accommodate whenever possible.
  3. Be familiar with Best Western, Hacienda Hotel, Government etc rates and promotions
  4. Communicate, interact and collaborate well with teammates and other departments
  5. Check guest in and out according to proper procedures.
  6. Insure proper credit is established for guests upon check in and at time of bucket check.
  7. Operation of Visual Matrix management system and properly posting all charges to guest and desk folios.
  8. Responsible for handling cash, credit card and transactions according to procedure.
  9. Basic knowledge in taking or changing a reservation in the terminal.
  10. Operation of PBX system
  11. VIP's are handled properly
  12. Be aware of walk procedures.
  13. Perform additional duties as required by management
  14. Make sure bucket check is kept current at all times.
  15. Insure daily reservations are reviewed and blocked as necessary.
  16. Use selective selling in order to maximize revenue.
  17. Read Sales Group List daily to familiarize yourself with in coming/out going groups.
  18. Read Hacienda Hotel updates daily to familiarize yourself with banquet/meeting room functions.
  19. Read Log Book/MOD Report/Email daily to familiarize yourself with activities of prior shifts.
  20. Must been neat and personable.

Reservation Duties:

  1. Process all guest reservations and confirmation
  2. Process cancellations, revisions and information up-dates or changes.
  3. Assist reservation manager in handling group bookings and conventions.
  4. Answer letters, phone calls and take/give messages.
  5. Pre-block groups reservation effectively.
  6. Perform additional duties as required by management.
